The Director will be responsible for planning and management of the patient care services of the Emergency Department. To provide leadership in the practice of nursing, emphasizing quality patient care, education, and research. To assist in coordination between administration and patient care activities consistent with Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland and Community Health Systems mission and goal statements.

POSITION PURPOSE

The Director will be responsible for planning and management of the patient care services of the Emergency Department (ED). To provide leadership in the practice of nursing, emphasizing quality patient care, education, and research. To assist in coordination between administration and patient care activities consistent with Tennova Healthcare - Cleveland and Community Health Systems mission and goal statements.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing as evidenced by state licensure.
Bachelors Degree and/or appropriate certification preferred.

Experience:
At least two years of experience in a hospital ER setting and minimum of one (1) year supervisory experience.

Licenses/Certificates:
Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required. BLS required. ACLS and PALS within six months of assignment to the Emergency Department Director.
