Colgate-Palmolive Company welcomes applications for our Customer Development Finance Internship position located in Rogers, AR. This internship is designed to provide students with practical, hands-on experience and exposure to Colgates commercial finance processes and activities while at the same time working on day-to-day activities and projects that are important to the needs of our US daily operations. During the internship, students will work on various financial activities and also have the opportunity to meet with members of our Divisional/Financial Senior Management Teams and learn about Colgate Palmolives overall business.

We are looking for candidates who show great aptitude/willingness to learn quickly on the job, demonstrate strong analytical skills, have the ability to multi-task, have the flexibility to manage a variety of responsibilities that may change frequently and who can think creatively to generate ideas that will improve efficiencies in our Finance function.

The Customer Development Finance internship provides excellent exposure to Colgates Customer Development Organization and the companys key accounts. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

* Download the plans and review accuracy by checking the NUC (net unit cost) we are selling to Walmart

* Process and review SKU Validations to ensure new SKUs are profitable and accurate

* Calculate the return on investment of promotional items that sell in Walmart stores

* Maintain customized files used for tracking sales vs quota and plans

* Support ad hoc analytics on market P&Ls and other strategic initiatives

* Support Gross to Net reconciliation process on spending

* Update CPP presentations with latest financial information

* Support month end closing activities by researching specific issues related to trade spending in order to complete closing explanations

* Work on special projects as needed

* Participate in key business meetings as appropriate/required

Qualifications:

* Currently enrolled in a Bachelors degree program, with a finance concentration expecting to graduate between May 2022 and May 2024
* Approximate GPA of 3.0 or above
* Must be available to work 20-25 hours a week during the school year, with potentially more hours during the summer
* Very strong MS excel skills
* Understanding of basic financial concepts

Preferred Qualifications:

* Ability to think creatively, taking initiatives to generate ideas and improve results
* Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills Great aptitude to learn quickly on-the-job
* Multitask and be prepared to manage a wide variety of responsibilities that can change on a daily basis
* Understanding of financial concepts such as Net Sales, Average Selling Price, Margin and inventory
