Position Summary
We are searching for a skilled Scrum Master in coaching new Agile teams, cross-functional team members (Dev, QA, BA, Architecture), Product Owners, and Product Managers to achieve best practices. Contributes to programs/projects specific to corporate change initiatives that have significant impact on how the company does business, provides a product or service, or executes a function. Ability to facilitate the Agile methodology and activities. Provides a vision and strategy; coaches and calibrates the team; enables a culture of continuous improvement. Identifies, develops and executes strategies and supporting tactics to influence teams and individuals to make needed behavioral changes. Effectively communicates with managers, peers and business partners on deliverables, timelines and support needed from them. Strong project management skills, including the ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
Experienced with the Scrum Framework: understands the role of Scrum, how to work, and providing Scrum process expertise and coaching.

Builds and develops a high-performance team.
Promotes self-help / self-organization within the teams.
Schedules, facilitates and coaches Agile routines and ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Scrums, Backlog Refinement, Sprint Review, Sprint Retrospective and PI Planning).
Helps support agile tool adoption and consistent utilization - maintains CA Agile Central (Rally) and ensures the team is tracking and communicating team progress and metrics (burn down / velocity) - uses these tools to inform coaching and continuous improvement.
Helps establish and support consistent reporting practices across the teams.
Helps to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
Works with Product Owners to establish and maintain Product/Story Roadmaps.
Ensures priorities are understood and the backlog aligns (w/ PO).
Helps protect the development team from external requests during the Sprint work.
Helps to remove or facilitate removal of impediments the team cannot resolve on their own.
Works closely with other Scrum Masters to exchange best practices and help to continually improve the process.
Drives maturity curve of agile adoption, partially based on company specific guidance - the rest based on industry norms and emerging trends.
Guides and serves teams that deliver technology solutions, through effective application of the Lean/Agile principles and frameworks including Scrum, Kanban Method and Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Facilitates the creation and adoption of working agreements and definitions of ready / definition of done, including use of appropriate tools, standards and best practices.
Facilitates and enables an environment of collaboration, innovation and creativity.
Challenges and enables the team to continuously improve through intentional Lean and data driven inspect and adapt cycles.
Required Skills:
5+ years of experience as an active Scrum Master with direct experience coaching new teams to Lean Agile.
7-10+ years technology experience in IT full development life cycle.
Direct Experience with Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe).
Strong understanding of Agile principles, concepts, and ceremonies.
Scrum, Kanban, and Lean Agile experience.
Knowledge and experience with Agile techniques Automated Testing, User Stories, TDD, Continuous Integration, Estimating, Testing, Pairing, Agile Games, etc.
Able to quickly establish collaborative partners. ips with key stakeholders and team members to help them on their journey of adopting Agile.
Strong collaboration Program manager/Delivery and execution/Change governance and Financial Governance.
Scrum and SAFE certified; good verbal and spoken communication.
Both business and technical knowledge so can speak intelligently when providing status.
Able to assist with transition from waterfall to agile.
Desired Skills:
Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM I, SAFe SM) preferred.
CA Agile Central (Rally) Software Experience.
CSPO and/or SAFe PMPO certification a plus.
5+ years of experience in a software development environment preferably involving cross-team dependencies.
Experience working on large and complex systems with multiple stakeholders.
Financial Services technology experience a plus.
