Associate Underwriters are primarily responsible for assisting Underwriters, Credit Officers, and Relationship Managers in making sound equity and debt investment decisions through completing financial analyses. They assist Asset Managers with the financial evaluation of equity investments. In addition, they may evaluate the financial wherewithal of our new and existing clients. They identify and implement process improvements to improve how we do business and the quality of analysis we give our clients. In coordination with their colleagues, they may prepare letters of intent or perform other due diligence activities for closing equity transactions. Successful Associate Underwriters will actively participate in recruiting, including interviewing candidates, and coaching new staff. All Associate Underwriters receive the opportunity to attend trainings, conferences, and networking events in furtherance of their career development. Successful Associate Underwriters are expected to take an active role in training their colleagues in areas ranging from technical analyses to building soft skills.

Required:

* Strongly proficient with MS Excel

* 3-5 years relevant work experience (tax credit finance not required)

* Strong communication skills

* Education of BA or greater

Preferred:

* MBA or MS in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting or Tax

* CPA

* Experience with tax credit finance
