The Medical Director of Cardiovascular Strategy in the US Medical Affairs organization is responsible for scientific engagement with top physician leaders in US health systems and in professional societies, as well as for partnering with commercial and other colleagues within J&J; in the development of CV franchise strategy. This role reports into the CV Therapeutic Area Leader.
Responsibilities include:
* Compliant engagement with and communication of complex clinical and scientific data to external stakeholders including opinion leaders, institutional stakeholders, and payers.
* Partnering with commercial and other functions to inform franchise strategy
* Identifying medical education needs through engagement of prescribers, professional societies and quality organizations
* Working with knowledge management teams to design US publication strategy. Designing and implementing scientific congress strategy and presentations.
* Performing medical review of promotional and educational materials and working to ensure their clinical relevance, scientific accuracy, and compliance with regulatory guidelines
* Compliantly providing clinical education and training for internal stakeholders such as field-based medical staff and sales representatives
* Presenting clinical data to physicians who participate in Janssen speaker training programs
* Designing and leading national and regional medical advisory board oversight and strategy
* Ensuring compliance with Janssen policies.
Qualifications
* Physician (M.D. or D.O) is required.
* Practice experience as a Cardiologist, Endocrinologist or Vascular Medicine Specialist is required.
* A highly customer centric approach to getting the job done is preferred
* 2 or more years of industry experience is preferred.
* Prior experience leading matrixed and cross functional teams is preferred.
* Ability to travel approximately 30% of the time, including occasional weekend travel for congresses, business meetings, etc. is required.
* Exceptional communication and presentation capabilities are preferred.
* A highly motivated, organized, self-starter with a demonstrated track record of leadership and achievement is required.
