Job Overview
As the Sales Analyst and support for National Retail Sales (NRS) Drug Channel accounts, you will support the Sales organization with comprehensive Point of Sale (POS), inventory / shipment sales analysis, and shopper data to drive strategic decision making through insights. You will develop an in-depth knowledge of channel-specific selling, trade promotion, and financial planning activities to support the Sales group. Additionally, you will lead tracking program performance against annual operating plan (AOP), and key customer and channel metrics. In this role, you will work with the customer directly to ensure that their data needs are met. You will develop reporting systems to monitor key metrics and provide updates for the team and customer.
Primary job functions include supporting the NRS Drug Team with analysis and internal/external sales reporting, identifying business growth opportunities, monitoring performance across the competitive set, new item maintenance/set up, and budget management.
To be successful in this role you should have consumer product/retail experience and be familiar with the Direct Store Delivery process and Warehouse Delivery. You should have advanced skills in Microsoft office products including PowerPoint, Excel, and be experienced working with Margin Minder, Siebel, customer POS data, Tableau, and Alteryx.
Location and Travel:
This role will be based in either Plano, TX or Burlington, MA with attendance required at some customer HQ calls with minimal travel.
Responsibilities
* Provide key analysis of sales data to drive insights and strategic recommendations, both internally and externally, including proactively seeking beyond stated needs and requests
* Use advanced understanding & application of industry practices, techniques, and standards to achieve objectives.
* Intuitively identify trends that lead to strategy-setting insights.
* Create a scorecarding method for key customers. This will be critical to driving the overall success of our agreed strategies with the customer partners.
* Coordinate and lead pricing initiatives for key retailers using automated processes to speed data to the retailers while monitoring bottlers/distributors to ensure pricing accuracy
* Oversee and Manage Team operational reviews and scorecarding
Requirements
* Bachelor's Degree from accredited institution
* Minimum 2 years of experience using MS Office, with advanced skills in MS Excel (pivot tables, charts, graphs, macros, data simulation)
* Minimum 2 year of experience with retailer portal or internal retailer process interaction preferred
* Prefer experience in Fortune 500 company, or in the Consumer Packaged Goods, Beverage, or related industries. Prior Sales experience a plus.High degree of curiosity for the retail space with strong personal drive and energy to succeed Well organized, with detail oriented and analytical mindset.
