The Business Development Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of mortgage products, programs and initiatives with the goal of increasing lending to low and moderate income borrowers, neighborhoods and diverse market segments. Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires residential mortgage lending industry awareness. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Responsible for quality, timeliness, effectiveness and delivery of end results. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise, and may assist with short-term resource planning.

Responsibilities:

* Collaborate with Mortgage Sales, Fulfillment, Credit Policy, Legal, Compliance, IT and Marketing teams working in an agile fashion to deliver new mortgage products, programs and related materials to market.
* Work closely with Strategic Markets team members in the development of CRA and Fair Lending strategies and the action plans needed to accomplish team goals.
* Assess competitive landscape, customer behavior and feedback and analytical trends to determine the effectiveness of our product and program offerings in meeting the objective of driving LMI and diverse market lending in order to achieve CRA and Fair Lending goals.
* Assist in the development / design of reporting to track the usage, trends, and controls around Citis Community Lending products and programs. Provide recommendations accordingly based on the analysis and evaluation of relevant MIS.
* Serve as Community Lending Program Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Strategic Markets Team, assisting and resolving issues and concerns as they arise. Manage the relationship(s) of Mortgage Revenue Bond programs.
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, and when appropriate, effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

* 6-10 years relevant experience.
* Bachelors degree; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
* Works effectively with leaders, peers and external entities. Excellent communication skills and analytical skills.
* Strong understanding of the end-to-end mortgage origination process, the real estate market and home lending industry, CRA and Fair Lending Regulatory environment, and Strategic Markets target markets and customer segments.
* High energy, positive can-do attitude, and results driven.
* Highly motivated self-starter. Must be comfortable working in an ambiguous environment managing multiple priorities and work independently to achieve successful results.

Education:

* Bachelors degree; MBA or advanced degree a plus.
