Global Public Affairs Technology develops and manages applications used by the Global Public Affairs (GPA) organization that facilitate their business processes and communications needs, both internal and external to Citi. These applications tend to be highly-visible, integrated with multiple existing systems, and require a high level of technical expertise, knowledge, and creativity to maintain.
This is a senior level position responsible for establishing and implementing new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to lead applications systems analysis and programming activities. Applications within the teams portfolio include in house development, SaaS vendor applications and custom vendor developed applications specific to our unique requirements.
Responsibilities:
* Work with internal business partners, external vendors and development partners to understand requirements and recommend appropriate technical solutions
* Collaborate with technology and other colleagues to review systems, vendors, and facilitate onboarding of new solutions
* Understand and work through Citi information security policies and processes, Vulnerability Assessments, Cloud utilization concerns, compliance, infrastructure and architecture reviews, etc. for applications used within Digital Communications and the Social Media space
* Technical project management (waterfall & agile) with oversight of application life cycle from inception to completion. Ensure all projects adhere to requirement standards and reporting requirements
* Provide expertise in area and advanced knowledge of applications programming and ensure application design adheres to the overall architecture blueprint
* Provide in-depth analysis with interpretive thinking to define issues and develop innovative solutions
* Resolve variety of high impact problems/projects through in-depth evaluation of complex business processes, system processes, and industry standards
* Develop comprehensive knowledge of how areas of business, such as architecture and infrastructure, integrate to accomplish business goals
* Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
* Qualifications:
* 6+ years of relevant experience in Apps Development or systems analysis role
* 5+ years experience system analysis and in programming of software applications
* 5+ years experience with Project Management
* 3+ years experience with web/mobile application development management
* 2+years experience with Agile methodology
* Excellent communications skills a must; written and verbal
* Understanding of Information Security standards and practices, secure coding methods, transmittal of information between client and server platforms, etc.
* Exposure to and understanding of the many different Social media platforms and services desired.
* Ability to adapt and learn constantly, coming up to speed quickly on proposed systems
* Must be able to understand technical details and explain to non-technical business colleagues and managers
* Ability to document requirements, facilitate testing processes, coordinate work effort across geographic boundaries
* Ability to understand the details while not losing sight of the bigger picture, and opportunities to leverage existing systems and data, integrations, etc.
* Working experience with Saas products and/or vendor management is a plus
Education:
* Bachelors degree/University degree or equivalent experience
