Job Description
Position Summary: Summer Intern for the Pyrotechnic Development
Job Responsibilities:
* Perform analytical lab tests, prepare and analyze standards and samples, develop analytical test methods, write test procedures, prepare and make development presentations under supervision from current chemists.
* Assist chemists
* Lead a summer project
* Analyze data, interpret test results, create written reports
* Work under the direction for Autoliv chemist on assigned projects.
* Follow Autoliv health and safety policies.
* Computer skills sufficient to process and analysis data.
Education, Experience and Skills Requirements:
* Educational Requirements currently in junior year pursuing a chemistry degree
* Years of Experience at least 2 years of university courses, with at least 2 years of chemistry courses taken, including quantitative analysis. Completion of instrumental analysis preferable.
* Specific job-related skills Successful applicants must have strong analytical and communication skills, be able to work with little supervision, have a good work ethic, be a team player, follow through on commitments, have design aptitude, be a visual thinker, be detail oriented, and have an ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. This summer internship is a 3-month opportunity from May 2021 to August 2021, and is located at our Promontory, Utah facility. No housing or relocation is provided for this internship.
