Job Description
Role includes performing an Information Architect role for complex mission critical projects. This will involve large new/existing data repositories, advanced modeling techniques, complex source-to-target mapping, source data profiling, etc.
Role includes working across technical domains with Integration/Information Architects, Solution Architects, and other technical resources, including partnering with Business Analysts and business partners to identify data requirements for projects. Role also includes facilitating data modeling solution sessions with all stakeholders.
Will participate in planning activities with the project team, providing direction from an information architecture perspective (technical dependencies, architectural risks, etc.) and will ensure data is modeled (across technical domains) that meets business requirements and is in alignment to corporate architectural standards and guiding principles.
Required Qualifications
5+ years experience in information architecture methodologies, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience.
5+ years experience in industry leading modeling tools such as IBM InfoSphere Data Architect (IDA) and ERwin.
5+ years experience with various information modeling techniques including entity-relationship modeling, dimensional modeling, UML Class modeling, metamodels, and data flow diagrams.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
Knowledge of Healthcare, Insurance
Ability to produce quality project documentation as per relevant project methodology, in addition to documenting modeling approaches and assumptions as well as any special processes followed, as needed.
Works (collaborates) effectively within project teams and across technical domains, with Business Analysts, Architects and other technical resources.
Ability to support multiple concurrent project assignments.
Familiarity with Data Architecture Design for Big Data Environments
Familiarity with and ability to support projects using waterfall, Agile and/or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) methodologies.
Education
Bachelor in Computer Science or equivalent. Will accept a verifiable H.S. Diploma / GED with one year of relevant work experience for every year of college not attained in addition to required years of experience. The highest level of education desired for candidates in this position is a Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
