Job Description
In this highly visible and innovative position, you will use your strong industry knowledge as well as your strong analytical experience to lead healthcare analytic initiatives through analyzing medical and pharmacy claims data identifying key opportunities for our clients providing oversight of detailed reporting integration of new product offerings, as well as ad hoc analysis and reporting.
This position is a full cycle analytical role that will allow you to see a project all the way through from loading the data, reviewing it, analyzing the data, interpreting the data and presenting key findings back to the client. Your client presentations will include strategic recommendations based on your analytical findings.
You'll use best practices and knowledge of analytics to solve complex business problems and differentiate the departments analytics within the organization and the market.
This role is responsible for successful delivery of large-scale data structures and Pipelines and efficient Extract/Load/Transform (ETL) workflows. Acts as the data engineering team lead for large and complex projects involving multiple resources and task
Required Qualifications
Fully proficient in leading analytic initiatives for internal/external customers and executives.
Expertise in packaging impactful findings and presenting them to internal stakeholders, external clients, and leadership.
Strength in complex comparative and root-cause analyses
Expertise in developing assumption-based models to explore scenarios for clients, products, and pricing.
Advanced expertise in SAS, SQL or similar programming language, advanced Microsoft skills (Excel, Access)
In depth knowledge and experience in managed healthcare, preferably PBM or Health Plans
Designs and develops complex and large-scale medical claims, eligibility, and EMR data structures and pipelines to organize, collect and standardize data to generate insights and addresses reporting needs.
Writes complex ETL (Extract / Transform / Load) processes, designs database systems and develops tools for real-time and offline analytic processing.
Develop frameworks, standards & reference material for architecture and associated products.
Designs data marts and data models to support Data Science and other internal customers.
Behaves as mentor to junior team members to provide technical advice.
Applies knowledge of health care data systems and products to consult and advise on additional efforts across multiple domains spanning broader enterprise.
Collaborates with data science team to transform data and integrate algorithms and models into highly available, production systems.
Uses in-depth experience designing & optimizing queries to build scalable, modular, and efficient data pipelines.
Integrates data from a variety of sources, assuring that they adhere to data quality and accessibility standards.
Experiments with available tools and advises on new tools to determine optimal solutions given the requirements dictated by the model/use case.

Proven ability to create innovative solutions to highly complex technical problems.
Ability to leverage multiple tools and programming languages to analyze and manipulate large data sets from disparate data sources.
Ability to understand and build complex systems and solve challenging analytical problems.
Experience designing & optimizing queries
Experience building and implementing data transformation and processing solutions.
Education
10 or more years of progressively complex, related experience.
Masters degree preferred
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Machine Learning, or related discipline.
