Introduction
This position will assist in administering all aspects of the energy assistance and fuel fund functions and to provide a contact for all administering agencies.
Principal Duties and Responsibilites
* Provides back-up support to Energy Assistance Team Leader
* Responds to all internal and external inquiries regarding fuel funds and energy assistance
* Processes transaction and error reports and manually posts corrections for energy assistance
* Processes checks and vouchers from all social service state agencies providing customer grants, monitors overpayments requests refund checks
* Monitors and resolves investigation memos related to fuel funds and energy assistance
* Supports CAP designee as backup with accounting issues, memos and trouble-shooting on individual accounts
* Processes and monitors electronic Crisis claims.
* Approves individual energy grants, documents, and tracks receipt
* Liaison with external administering agencies for inquiries, grants approvals procedural issues
* Coordinates interventions with external administering agencies to provide timely resolution for extenuating Crisis situations.
* Schedules re-connect/connect on non-pay orders
* Implements USPP procedures to insure compliance including, payment plan execution, winter monitoring monthly reporting
* Excellent Customer Service
* Executes accurate and timely energy assistance and fuel fund transactions
* Effectively responds to internal and external inquiries
* Implements efficient procedures established to maintain program compliance.
Qualifications (Required for Selection)
* Requires a High School Diploma
* Minimum 2 years experience with Columbia DIS
* Trouble shoot, analyze and problem solving capabilities
* Oral Written communication skills
* Team building skills, cooperation, information sharing and working proactively to achieve
* Understanding of state laws and consumer protection regulations related to customer contact and accounting
* Basic computation
* Knowledge of mainframe and PC applications including Microsoft suite
Additional Qualifications (Preferred for Selection)
* Knowledge of low income programs, community and resources
* Information sharing and working pro-actively to achieve goals

Location Information
The reporting location of this position is the Customer Care Center located in Smithfield, PA. However, due to COVID-19 restrictions, this position is required to temporarily work from home.
