This is a Contract Technical Recruiter role that is virtual with preference to Eastern Standard Time Zone.
Job Description
The Technical Recruiter will provide consultative Technical recruiting support with an emphasis on: timely and strategic sourcing, qualifying, interviewing, negotiating offers, and on-boarding competitive candidates to fill open job requisitions. The Recruiter will be responsible for representing the News Corp brand, while collaborating with hiring managers and peers to create an active pipeline of top-notch talent. A successful candidate will be a collaborative team player with strong communication and analytical skills with the ability to operate as a part of a virtual team. Position is based in the USA only with preference to Eastern Standard Time Zone.
Roles & Responsibilities
* Creatively source qualified candidates from top-tier companies within a highly competitive recruiting landscape. This includes sourcing for a diverse range of levels and functional areas (including cold-calling, database searches, networking, and recruiting events).
* Ideal Candidate will have strong sourcing skills, and experience with social media recruiting and strong experience with LinkedIn Recruiter.
* Collaborate with hiring managers and HR teams to develop and execute recruiting initiatives that generate qualified leads/hires.
* Work with hiring managers to develop job descriptions that attract ideal candidates, which entails gaining a firm understanding of News Corps culture and business needs.
* Monitor pipelines and prioritize and organize sourcing activity based upon candidate patterns.
* Partner closely with hiring managers throughout the recruitment cycle from identification, assessment through offer. Partner with business leaders in recommending new hire compensation packages.
* Conduct telephone and individual interviews to identify candidates that are best aligned with company needs, initiatives and culture.
* Proactive follow-up with strong candidates, to ensure continued interest and engagement within the hiring process.
* Presenting clear and detailed snapshots to hiring managers on recruiting processes. Be a thought partner with leaders to establish plans, define strategies, and deliver solutions that redefine the way we recruit for technical Talent.
* You will use a combination of recruiting techniques to build and engage networks, assess and hire top-of-class technical talent.
* Act as an advocate for both client and candidate throughout the hiring process; establishing regular touch points and providing diligent follow through resulting in a best in class candidate and client experience.
Requirements/Qualifications
* 5+ years experience in recruiting.
* Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field of study.
* Ability to handle large volumes of confidential information with professionalism and diplomacy.
* Demonstrated ability to handle shifting priorities and deadlines in a high-growth, fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written.
* Detail-oriented with excellent follow-up skills.
* Flexibility and a strong collaborative attitude.
* Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality with tact.
* Strong proficiency with HRIS systems (Workday) and Google and/orMS Office is a must.
* Working knowledge of common HR practices, employment laws, and/or government compliance regulations as it relates to recruitment and hiring.
