Primary Objective:
Responsible for deploying, maintaining, and supporting network devices. This position is challenged to maintain a high level of service on the enterprises production local and wide area network as well as the voice network while maintaining reliability and redundancy. This must be accomplished in a heterogeneous and fast moving networking environment
Major Function and Scope:
* Strong Understanding around VLANs, SD-WAN, ACLs, Subnetting
* Must be able to configure routers, switches, APs without assistance
* Working knowledge of Cisco PBX configurations
* Plan, coordinate, configure and install PBX and voicemail networks
* Knowledge of legacy and VoIP technologies
* Understand network terminology and architecture including Ethernet and voice cabling
* Familiar with Network Services such as PRI, BRi, Smart Jacks, etc
* Able to trouble network devices maintained by the IT Department
* Ability to design and maintain network and voice wiring
* Identify and troubleshoot wiring issues on both Data and Voice devices
* Participate in various IS projects intended to continually improve/upgrade the data/voice networks
* Provide training, technical advice and direction to junior team members
* Work closely with Help Desk to resolve problems in a timely manner
* Able to understand technical manuals and software relating to job functions
* Must have good communication and documentation skills
* Must be able to work with outside vendor when necessary
* Must be able to schedule and prioritize work unsupervised
* Must be able to work outside normal working hours when required
* Support 24/7 environment with on-call rotation
* Should be able to travel when required for job functions/training
* Must be able to pass a background check
* Works closely with other IT team members to coordinate current and future activities
* Performs all responsibilities within the guidelines of enterprise policies and directives at or above the enterprise's performance and evaluation standards
* Technical Training certifications preferred

* Associates Degree or equivalent technical experience
* BS Preferred but not required
* 3 to 5 years IT / Technical experience
* Experience with network and communications
* Advanced wireless networking experience with fortune 500 company.
* Cisco certifications
