Lockheed Martin Space is seeking an early career Mechanical Engineer for the Homeland Missile Defense program. In this role you will:

- Work under the direction of senior mechanical engineers to research, design, analyze, and develop mechanical assemblies and systems

- Participate in issue resolution, developing solutions to technical problems of varying complexity while assuring sound technical content and timely closure

- Perform and develop technical analyses necessary to support product build and testing activities

Basic Qualifications:
- Knowledge of mechanical modeling or analysis tools, such as Solidworks/CREO, Nastran, or Thermal Desktop

- Ability to obtain/maintain a secret security clearance; US citizenship is required.
Desired Skills:
- Understanding and ability to apply basic mechanical engineering principles, theories, and concepts

- Experience with NX/NASTRAN finite element modeling or equivalent

- Fundamental understanding of structures, mechanisms, and materials

- Desire to work with propulsion, structures, mechanisms, analysis and all things Lockheed Martin Space!
