The system engineer in this position will work across several Aegis programs with responsibilities in Ballistic Missile Defense (BMD) and Integrated Air Missile Defense
(IAMD) tasking for the Mission Planner.

Tasking can include responsibility for algorithmic design, data analysis, requirements development, modeling and
simulation, and software integration and test. This will entail developing solutions to mathematical and physics-based problems in the area of mission planning for IAMD
scenarios. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into a total system
solution that acknowledges technical, schedule, and cost constraints. In addition, the successful candidate will work in a DevSeOps environment and in addition to working system engineering tasks can also work software engineering tasks. Tasking can include responsibility for developing detailed design and software using Java and/or C++, software testing and debugging, requirements gathering, applications development, GUI development, scientific applications development and modeling & simulations development.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical
or Computer Engineering, Physics, Math or
Computer Science or related fields.
- Minimum six years systems engineering experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a
Secret Security clearance.
Desired Skills:
- Software engineering experience.
- MS level degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, or closely related technical field.
- Demonstrated interest and ability to learn new tools and technologies and successfully leverage those to successfully complete projects in a timely manner.
- Ability to research technical challenges and provide effective solutions.
- Matlab familiarity
- Software development familiarity
