Come join Lockheed's Air Force Strategic Programs (AFSP). This group of diverse Engineers has a long history of supporting the Air Force Mission reaching back to the 1960's. Today's challenge is to support the modernization of the Intercontinental Ballistic Missile (ICBM) by crafting, building, testing and deploying new Reentry Systems and Ground Equipment that will enable the new system to perform for many years to come. Lockheed Martin is seeking a dynamic Project Engineer to support the Mk21A Technology Maturation and Risk Reduction (TMRR) Program at its King of Prussia, PA site.

As a Project Engineer, you will:

Assist the program development and provide technical expertise in evaluating technical quality of design products
Apply Lockheed Martin's technical processes, tools and validated methodologies to ensure Design Reviews for the program are executed optimally
Assist the program through design reviews to include PDR
Have the opportunity to work closely with the Program Chief Engineer/Systems Engineering Manager in leading staffing needs for the team
Help develop timely resolution plans of issues and ensure the validity of designs, compliance evidence, and all associated documentation
Periodically travel domestically to Subcontractor facilities

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a technical or business-oriented field
Strong leadership skills and whole systems thinking
US Citizenship with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
Desired Skills:
Familiarity with all phases of development life cycle for missile and/or launch vehicle programs and supporting production of missile, launch vehicle, spacecraft or aircraft hardware
Familiarity with configuration control and quality control tools and systems (e.g., EPDM, Q-notes)
Working closely with major subcontractors
Experience collaborating with internal and external customers and executive leadership
Basic understanding of systems thinking techniques
Missile or space segment design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside of Systems Engineering
Program/Project Management and Cost Account Manager (CAM) experience with the ability to articulate sophisticated technical and programmatic issues to subordinates, peers, management and customers
