Job Summary:

This position is responsible for the timely and accurate tear down of any gears, transmissions and differentials

Essential Job Duties:

* Greets and assists customers Load and unload any work that is coming in.

* Dismantles all work as it comes in.

* Resurfaces flywheels

* Ability to follow directions Responsible for maintenance of equipment.

* Keeps clean, safe working conditions and practices within the department.

* Attends and participates in all relevant training programs established by the company and OSHA guidelines.

* Assumes other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Experience/Education: Good communication skills both verbal and written. Ability to communicate and negotiate with a diverse employee and customer base at all levels. Basic math skills. Basic mechanical aptitude and a desire to become a mechanic. Must have high school diploma or equivalent. General understanding of how to use basic tools and torches. Basic knowledge of EPA rules, OSHA regulations and Standard safety with hazardous chemicals and adhere to all their standards.

Work Environment: Majority of the work is done in the shop area and occasional in the yard. Will be exposed to routine hazards and the work environment of the truck repair industry. While in the shop area will work on concrete floors, sometimes wet environment, moderate noise is typical, with occasional exposure to loud noises. Some time is spent outdoors and exposure to weather. Some work is conducted in an office environment with moderate and typical noise levels.

Physical Activities: Physically demanding position requires continuous standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, talking, hearing and using hands to handle or feel. Frequent stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, climbing, or balancing. Must be able to lift 75-100lbs.

Materials & equipment used: Standard office equipment including but not limited to: desktop computer, calculator, telephone, and related accessories. Required use of small hand tools, dual action pneumatic sander, battery charger, numerous cleaning and mechanical fluids, lifts, tire mounting and dismounting, floor jack, floor jack stands, mig welder, oxy acetyl welder. Torch, strut compressor, press, oil drain pan, transmission jack, overhead engine support, cherry picker/engine hoist, mighty mover, forklift. Job specific safety equipment not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection and protective gloves.

•  S.p.A (“Rhiag”), a leading pan-European business-to-business distributor of aftermarket spare parts for passenger cars and commercial vehicles. Rhiag has operations in Italy, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Hungary, Romania, Ukraine, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Poland and Spain. The transaction is expected to be completed in the first half of 2016 and is subject to customary closing conditions and necessary regulatory approvals.
