Clark Memorial Hospital
High School diploma or equivalent. A typing assessment must be completed, passed with a 30 WPM, and a 95% accuracy rate to be eligible for position. Must be detail oriented, excellent customer service skills and ability to prioritize is a must. Registers patients in the ED registration area; which includes bedside registration of emergency room patients, labor patients, creating visit number at time of triage, outpatients and/or inpatients that present in the ED reception area. Obtains and enters complete and accurate patient demographic, guarantor, and insurance information. Assures completion of forms for signatures, authorization and consents. Initiate insurance eligibility in conjunction with asking for payment of ED copay. When working the registration desk, the functions will include accepting monies and providing receipt(s) for pharmacy, physicians and/or CSR items from team members as well as payments from individuals paying on a open account; provide patient room information via telephone and walk ins, update visit type and location changes as requested. Team member will be on call weekend pager pay rotation. May cross-train to Outpatient Registration.

Our Health Support Center (HSC), in Brentwood, Tennessee, has subject matter expertise in every area of healthcare operations and provider services. The HSC is organized to bring resources to bear across the continuum of care, from before a patient accesses healthcare services to after they are sent home, while keeping quality and compliance at the center.
