St Francis Hospital
The Director, IT&S provides the vision, leadership and management of St. Francis Healths information systems in support of both business and clinical operations. This role requires a strong project management and customer service focus and will be responsible for providing a hospital-level view on all high-priority strategic projects as well as serve as a focal point for coordination of enterprise-level efforts.
The Director, IT&S is responsible for the development and implementation of the clinic and hospital IT strategy in the context of the enterprise IT strategy including actionable roadmap and budget, and must have the ability to establish clear objectives, set priorities, define realistic time frames, manage expectations of users and effectively manage staff, projects and vendors in delivery of the strategic objectives. The role has a high level of exposure to senior leadership at the clinic, hospital, group operations, and enterprise IT level and will work closely with them on a variety of strategic initiatives
This senior leader will carry-out her/his duties by adhering to the highest standards of ethical and moral conduct, acting in the best interest of the organization, and fully supporting the mission, vision, and values of St. Francis Health.
Job Requirements
Minimum Education
Bachelors degree in Computer Information Systems or a healthcare related business field is required, and a Masters degree is desirable.
Required Skills
Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.
Minimum Work Experience
Minimum of seven (7) years experience in Healthcare Information Systems with progressive management responsibility and previous experience in senior leadership role in a healthcare organization required.
Experience with end-user computing systems (such as PCs, mobile devices, printers, etc.) in a clinical setting.
Experience in the creation and management of capital / project and routine departmental budgeting.
Exposure to external contracting solutions, as well as support of in-house information and communication systems in a multi-site client-server environment.
Certifications
Relevant vendor-agnostic certifications such as the CPHIMS, PMP, ITIL-F, preferred.
Vendor-specific technical certifications, preferred.
