Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Tech Lead to join our Platform and Data Services team. They will be joining a diverse cross-functional team to collaborate on building a highly-automated software defined platform to enable Freddie Mac applications team to host/migrate business applications. Maximizing developer productivity and minimizing operational overhead. Candidate is expected to be proficient in cloud technologies, automation strategies including application and infrastructure as code CI/CD and tooling at enterprise scale. The candidate should be able to learn/adapt new tools/technologies and implement them for enterprise adoption in accordance with optimized operational and security standards.

Your Impact:
* Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning and operational management
* Design and implement frameworks for use by developers / engineers to maximize productivity and minimize manual activities for all facets of day-to-day workflows
* Implement processes and systems ready for enterprise-grade adoptions
* Build IT system frameworks and solutions that streamline the delivery and operational lifecycle of applications and cloud services
* Provide leadership on enterprise projects and initiatives related to automation and work across team lines on design, solutioning and implementation
* Guide & Mentor junior members in the team and engineering teams
* Help coordinate project deployments with other engineers and make schedule recommendations
Qualifications:
* Bachelors degree in information technology, engineering, computer science, related field or equivalent experience; Advanced studies/degree is preferred
* 5-10 years of experience in public cloud or SDDC cloud engineering
* 3+ years of experience with engineering and supporting containerization technology( Openshift, Kubernetes, Docker swarm, AWS(ECS/EKS) etc) at scale
* 10+ years of experience in Information technology, preference for infrastructure and platform services automation
* Solid understanding of foundational elements of private(SDDC) and/or public cloud
* Experience with scripting tools (Python, perl, Shell scripting etc) to automate routine operation tasks
* Experience with Infrastructure as code mechanisms and developer workflows using technologies such as Terraform, Cloud formation, or pulumi
