DuPont Safety & Construction is recruiting for a Production Data Analyst to join the Nomex production team located at its manufacturing site in Richmond, VA. The Spruance Plant is home to multiple businesses including Kevlar and Tyvek and is currently DuPont's largest manufacturing site. Safety & Construction is a leading provider of engineered products and integrated systems for the construction, worker safety, energy, oil & gas, transportation, water purification and medical markets.
The Production Data Analyst (PDA) monitors deviations from standard performance, investigates the cause for the deviation and corrects data in the data management system (SAP) as appropriate. The PDA reconciles and closes production/period orders after all production posting is complete, coordinates cycle counts in area of responsibility, provides data warehouse support functions including database maintenance, development and enhancement, and performs database administration functions such as loading data into database from external sources, supports users in constructing queries and generating output files. S/he is responsible for on-going design and performance enhancement, which include reviewing queries for performance issues, estimating, monitoring and tuning the warehouse as it operates. S/he develops and administers processes to ensure interoperability and security of data warehouse system.
As a Production Data Analyst, you will:
* Monitor cost variance and utility yield data in data management system (SAP) at an appropriate frequency. Identify items that are exceeding the deviation tolerance as documented in the Business rules and develop a plan to resolve root causes.
* Investigate the cause for deviation to identify if a posting error or a process change has occurred.
* Lead root cause investigations for posting errors and develop action plan to eliminate the root cause.
* Perform SAP transactions to make appropriate production posting corrections.
* Work with team members (Production Coordinators, MES Coordinators,& Run Plant Engineers) to identify permanent plant process changes and required master table data updates.
* Maintains Bills of Materials and Routing table data in SAP and determines appropriate changes. Performs SAP transactions to update data as required by business rules.
* Monitors and updates master data tables for new products/raw materials and deletion of discontinued products/raw materials. This involves creating, modifying and deleting master data such as work centers, bills of materials, routings, etc.
* Monitors % Compliance to Production Schedule and % Inventory Accuracy performance.
* Reconciles raw material and product inventory discrepancies and makes necessary adjustments to correct inventories.
* Perform SAP transaction to reconcile and close production/period order after all production posting is complete.
* Cycle Count Coordination Activity in area of responsibility.
Job Qualification
* Minimum of a High School diploma, G.E.D. or equivalent is required; advanced degree preferred
* Minimum of 3 years of manufacturing or related experience is required
* SAP experience required
* Microsoft Office knowledge and skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
* Root cause analysis, troubleshooting and problem-solving skill is required to be successful
* Demonstrated skill in verbal and written communications, planning and organizing
* Fluency in the English language is key for communication with global and business learning
* This is a non-bargaining opportunity located in Spruance-Richmond, VA and may require less than 5% of travel
