What you will do:
The Supervisor, Sales Support System Surveys is a team leader of Building System Surveyors which supports Johnson Controls Building Solutions security sales associates in performing on-time and accurate customer site surveys for development of security equipment estimates and project design deliverables. The Supervisor, Sales Support System Surveys will work closely with JCI Sellers, COE Program Managers and Coordinators, and the Building Systems Survey Desk to ensure quality, accurate and on-time delivery of system survey assessments.
The Supervisor, Sales Support System Surveys performs a critical function as part of the Global COE network to ensure that JCI security sellers pre-sale needs are met through a focus on high quality collaboration, professional on-site assessments, and by adhering to standardized processes and deliverables.
How you will do it:
* Oversee and provide guidance to a team of Building System Surveyors, to ensure their timely and accurate performance of assigned pre-sales support cases.
* With guidance from the Division Operations Manager, share the messaging, vision and overall strategy of the COE leadership to ensure consistent performance and results.
* Oversee the timely and accurate on-site equipment evaluations of an assigned team of Building System Surveyors to meet JCI sellers support request expectations.
* Coordinate locally with sales managers to ensure appropriate program support in cases where Building System Surveyor coverage is unavailable.
* Provide guidance to assigned team for delivery of survey documentation and deliverables through COE provided tools/platforms (e.g., Salesforce, Office 365, SharePoint, ArcSite).
* In coordination with COE application engineers, spot-check survey deliverables for quality and accuracy, and provide Division Operations Manager with feedback for potential program wide improvements.
* Ensure team adherence to standardized processes and completion of deliverable documentation (site survey forms, floorplan drawing with device placement, etc)
* Monitor dashboards and activity levels of assigned team, provide feedback and coordinate with sales managers to ensure optimized use of resources.
* Provide information to management to aid develop program efficiencies and process improvements.
* Provide feedback to management regarding potential improvements to reporting platforms.
* Maintain a serviceable knowledge of the JCI core product and service offerings.
* Provide mentorship, functional guidance and leadership to new or less experienced team members.
* Activities and responsibilities will adhere to current policies, procedures, programs and services.
* Provide guidance to assigned team in performance improvement and development, succession and career planning, disciplinary and corrective actions.
What we look for:
Required:
* Associates Degree or equivalent industry experience (10 - 15 years)
Experience:
* Minimum of five years of experience in proficient system design and installation/cost estimating of security equipment in a commercial sales environment.
* Minimum of five years of field experience, such as installation technician or successful sales representative, in commercial security; including intrusion detection, access control, IP video, fire alarm, etc.
* Experience with IP networking common practices, to include up to a minimum Layer 3 basic concepts and functions.
* Experience with a computer aided drafting software.
Skills:
* Excellent written and oral communication skills, interpersonal, and an ability to quickly adapt communication styles to your audience.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and confidence to make sound, business conscious decisions in difficult and stressful situations.
* Strong PC Proficiency to include but not limited to; Microsoft Office 365, SharePoint, Salesforce, ArcSite, MASterMind, ADMIN, etc
* Excellent time management, ability to prioritize and multi-task in a high stress environment.
* Ability to drive to customer and JCI branch locations.
* Occasional travel, but limited.
