This position is for an experienced Environmental, Health, & Safety (EH&S;) Generalist professional who works independently, executing initiatives and programs across multiple EH&S; disciplines, and monitors local performance and supports practices to achieve and maintain compliance. Responsible for developing materials for EH&S; trainings, archives and maintains standard documentation, and provides updates to processes and programs to enhance EH&S; performance.

Primary Responsibilities:

Conducts site safety inspections and daily walk-throughs

Leads safety meeting

Trains new hires on safety and environmental issues

Assist the business unit with conducting the Job Hazard Analysis and Risk Assessment

Evaluate and recommend Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) for various business units

Ensures that safety and environmental rules and regulations are adhered to

Ensures policies and procedures, standards, and controls are identified for regulation compliance

Coordinate with government agencies for arbitrations, inspections, regulations, etc.

Advises managers regarding safety compliance and environmental issues

Incorporates and maintains safety observances by working with business unit leaders

Conduct accident investigation and assist with evaluating corrective and preventive actions

Review and analyze trends for opportunities of improvement

Conduct employee and area monitoring ensuring industrial hygiene practices and policies are being followed

Works directly with facility leadership and serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) regarding interpretation of federal, state and local EH&S; regulations

Aligns corporate and local EH&S; goals and strategies

Lead employee training programs regarding EH&S; behaviors and compliance

Input, track, and analyze safety metrics using EH&S; software

Basic Qualifications:

* Bachelors degree and 3 years of relevant experience OR

* In absence of a degree, 7 years of relevant experience is required

* Must be a U.S. Person/Permanent Resident Green Card holder

* Accident Investigation and corrective action experience

* Proficient in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Preferred Qualifications:

* Any EH&S; related professional certifications would be preferred but not required

* Learn quickly on EH&S; computer software to track metrics
