The Information Security Department has an opening for a Senior Security Consultant. This position is located in Pleasanton, California, Phoenix, Arizona or Boise, Idaho.

Position Purpose

Albertsons portfolios are the key business units representing all aspects of a Fortune 50 retail grocery company. This role allows the candidate to use their Security and Risk management expertise to guide Information Security for one of the major portfolios at Albertsons Companies. The Portfolio Information Security Officer (PISO) is a highly technical senior security consultant within their business focus. The PISO serves as the trusted advisor to both the Portfolio executives and to the CISO and is responsible for establishing and driving a Portfolio specific Information Security program aligned with the Portfolio's risks and the Albertsons Information Security Program (AISP).

Key Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* Actively engage business leaders to understand projects, priorities and needs as related to information security risk and compliance.
* Consult the portfolio on emerging threats (threat intelligence) and techniques relevant to business.
* Drive the adoption of core security services (PKI, Identity Management, Key Management, Intrusion Detection and Response, and Vulnerability Management)
* Develop and communicate security and compliance requirements to your area of responsibility.
* Provide business and technical advice on a wide variety of IT risk issues, concerns, and problems, making sure all business processes incorporate adequate information security.
* Ensure portfolio security program is aligned with the Albertsons Information Security Program, Policies, and Standards
* Leverage the Enterprise and Portfolio specific Information Security Risk Assessments to establish and monitor the program.
* Securing ongoing security funding for special/complex projects, and evangelize security awareness across the Portfolio

Qualifications:

* Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
* 8+ years or more year of experience in audit or information security related role.
* Information security professional certification desired (CISSP, CISM, CISA etc.)
* Strong understanding of audit/risk management methodologies and regulatory requirements pertaining to information security, privacy and/or data security.
* Strong understanding of IT risk, information security fundamentals, defense-in-depth practices, IT risk assessment fundamentals and risk management practices
* Strong understanding of Identity and Access Management concepts
* Data Protection and encryption practices
* Identify regulatory changes that may affect Portfolio and AISP.
* Cloud computing experience and a solid understanding of the benefits and complexities of cloud deployments
* Analytical aptitude with an emphasis on investigative, methodical critical questioning and logical thinking; a data-driven decision maker
* Ability to drive consensus in a large complex organization.
* Excellent communication and Interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively present technical information and tailor responses to customer understanding.
* Demonstrated ability to work independently and be a strong collaborative partner in a matrixed organization.
* Strong sense of urgency, business ethics, dependability and follow through.

Key Success criteria:

* Increased levels of security across designated Business Unit.
* Improved compliance with security standards and policies across Business Unit teams.
* Greater awareness of information security and data privacy requirements
* Drive adoption of global security program standards throughout the product and core business platform teams.

In 1939, Joe Albertson, a former Safeway district manager, took $5,000 he saved and $7,500 he borrowed from his wife’s Aunt Bertie, and partnered with L.S. Skaggs to open his first Albertsons store on 16th and State Streets in Boise, Idaho.
