A Senior Supplier Quality Engineering Tech is responsible for Work with various departments and suppliers to diagnose root causes of defects and the actions necessary to rectify the defect(s) internally and with our supply base. Serve in the lead role to assure that assigned suppliers fully comply with PPAP and 8D processes. Duties also include assisting the department leadership team with essential functions and daily activities, as required. Will report directly to the Supplier Quality Engineering group. Must be available for all shifts.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Develop and maintain strong product knowledge.

* Provide Rapid Response diagnostic services and initiate appropriate actions to address supplier related assembly line issues.

* Drive CAL and Reliability evaluation processes.

* Validate and execute non-conforming part containment procedures and provide reports.

* Monitor line returns and non-conforming parts and take the proper corrective actions with assigned suppliers.

* Drive the corrective action process to completion.

* Develop and process kaizens to drive continuous improvement in addressing supplier quality related issues. Support SQE's on assigned supplier improvement projects.

* Provide leadership and training for Supplier Quality organization.

* Provide Quality Engineering support for trial runs.

* Support all Plant strategies, methodologies and initiatives.

* Lead assigned supplier improvement projects and travel to supplier locations as necessary to evaluate issues.

* Complete PPAPs for assigned suppliers and fully support new product introduction cost, quality and model line projects.

* Work closely with quality and process engineers to support their needs

* Work closely with suppliers to guide them through 8D problem solving methodology as well as PPAP guidance.

* Work closely with other departments (materials & support) to problem solve.

* Work with quality engineers to identify problems with high PPM parts

Qualifications:

Education:

* Associates Degree in related field, engineering preferred

Required Experience

* Prior experience with administrative responsibilities or related field

Skills:

* Excellent organizational and time-management abilities

* Attention to detail

* Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel),and an Adept at use of Google Google Suite; Sheets, Docs and Slides.

* Excellent interpersonal/communication skills

* Proven leadership abilities

* Proven ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks

* All required WCM Quality Tool Certifications, particularly 8D Problem Solving and Kaizen methodology.

* Blue Print and GD&T experience or training preferred.

* Must be able to use advanced shop mathematics, read highly complicated drawings, use a variety of measuring devices and a broad use of specialized training.

Preferred Qualifications:

* One year of experience working with raw materials, specifically plastics and harnesses

* One year experience working with PPAPs
