Corporate Risk helps all Wells Fargo businesses identify and manage risk. The team focuses on several key risk types, including conduct, credit, financial crimes, information security, interest rate, liquidity, market, model, operational, regulatory compliance, reputation, strategic, and technology risk. The group provides leadership, enhances communications, assists with problem identification and solutions, and shares best practices. In addition, the group provides an enterprise-wide view of risk, assists management and our Board of Directors in identifying and monitoring risks that may affect multiple lines of business, and takes appropriate action when business activities exceed the risk tolerance of the company.
Within Wells Fargo Corporate Risk, the Independent Testing & Validation (ITV) group is responsible for establishing and maintaining a consolidated testing and validation program at the corporate level. ITV is responsible for developing a common methodology and standards, providing governance and oversight, executing independent testing of non-financial risks; and conducting horizontal and targeted reviews. Testing and validation teams are responsible for implementing the ITV methodology and standards, and executing group- specific testing.
The Strategy & Program team within ITV is responsible for the design, development, and implementation of the testing and validation program and target state strategy, including methodology, policies, procedures, training, testing resources and platform tools, central operational processes and control functions (e.g. quality assurance/control, plan management), and reporting. This group will support the ITV LOB-aligned testing and validation teams (Consumer Banking Small Business, Consumer Lending, Wealth & Investment Management, Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, and Cross-Enterprise Functions) through a central service model and will provide governance and oversight to ensure the program is operating effectively.
The Methodology Coordinator (Senior Officer) will serve as the Strategy and Program teams central point of coordination for the development and maintenance of the IT&V Testing Platform, which will be used to document all testing performed by IT&V. The Methodology Coordinator will also be responsible for coordinating with the policy and procedure teams in codifying methodology and strategy into policies and training materials. As the risk environment matures, these updates will need to be accounted for in IT&Vs methodology and procedures. The role will support the development of and become a subject matter expert in the strategy for RCSA Based Testing and Incremental Compliance Testing to ensure that ITV is appropriately positioned to address key Operational and Compliance risks.
Other specific responsibilities include:
* Ensure the ITV Testing application development is being built in accordance with target state strategy, including RCSA Based Testing Strategy, and considerations of upstream and downstream partners.
* Participate in and contribute to Front Line and Independent Risk Management program calls. Provide updates to senior leadership.
* Supporting testing activities as needed, including support for the annual plan and providing expertise to the LOB-aligned testing teams.
* Coordinate engagement of Technology, business partner resources, and subject matter experts in the development and application of target state strategy.
* Monitor progress of Front Line RCSA completion and readiness for ITV. Provide updates to IT&V RCSA Based Testing action plan commitments.
The ideal candidate is someone with strong project management, organizational skills, and a proven track record of driving change. The candidate is expected to closely monitor project milestones, help identify and resolve potential challenges, and provide communications to senior stakeholders.
Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management) or 10+ years of financial services industry experience, of which 7+ years must include direct experience in risk management
* 10+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: conduct risk, compliance, operational risk management audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, or the management of a process or business with accountability for compliance or operational risk; or 10+ years of business process management or financial services industry experience, of which 6+ years must include direct experience in compliance, operational risk management, or a combination thereof

Other Desired Qualifications
* Advanced Degree preferred (Masters, MBA, or JD)
* 10+ years experience in testing or audit, within financial services or Big 4 preferable.
* Experience at a financial institution or accounting firm
* Strong understanding of financial regulatory environment
* Experience developing new programs or methodology, and a proven ability to champion and drive change.
* Significant experience coordinating and communicating with a wide variety of senior internal and external stakeholders.
* Solid knowledge and understanding of audit or risk methodologies and supporting tools
* CPA, CAMS, CRCM, CIA, CISA or Commissioned Bank Examiner designation.
* Program management or six sigma certifications
