Wholesale Banking provides financial solutions to businesses across the United States and globally. Our four major business lines include Corporate & Investment Banking, Commercial Banking, Commercial Real Estate, and Wells Fargo Commercial Capital. We also have groups in credit risk, group risk, finance, marketing, human relations, and the Wholesale Chief Operating Office that support our businesses.

The Head of High Yield trading will be responsible for trading High Yield corporate bonds and managing a desk of high yield traders. As the head of the desk, this individual will be responsible for:

* Effectively managing risk positions across High Yield credit within High Yields internal trading mandate
* Working with research and sales to source and develop unique trade ideas to introduce to clients and create liquidity.
* Creating and maintaining relationships with buy-side trading counterparts, internal sales and trading personnel across all trading desks, and internal business partners.

They are accountable for execution of all applicable risk programs (Credit, Market, Financial Crimes, Operational, Regulatory Compliance), which includes effectively following and adhering to applicable Wells Fargo policies and procedures, appropriately fulfilling risk and compliance obligations, timely and effective escalation and remediation of issues, and making sound risk decisions. There is emphasis on proactive monitoring, governance, risk identification and escalation, as well as making sound risk decisions commensurate with the business units risk appetite and all risk and compliance program requirements.

Required Qualifications
* 10+ years of experience in capital markets, industry experience within the specific sector of the position, or a combination of both
* 7+ years of leadership experience
* 3+ years of management experience

Other Desired Qualifications
* The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 10+ years of experience with a background that includes trading, institutional investing or other relevant capital markets experience in the high yield credit markets at a bank, corporate trading desk or investing client. Proven consistent track record of profitability and client engagement. Proven leadership skills and ability to influence.
* Candidate needs to possess exceptional credit knowledge with a history of managing risk in high yield credits.
* Candidate must have strong analytical skills, financial modeling, and an understanding of all credit products.
* Candidate has to have established relationships across the High Yield credit markets including buy-side clients.

Job Expectations
* Registration for FINRA Series 7 and Series 63 (or 66) must be completed within a 90 or 180-day time period contingent upon number of license(s) needed if not immediately available to transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted. This will be communicated at time of offer acceptance
* Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
* Registration for FINRA Series 24 must be completed within 90 days of hire date if it is not available for transfer upon hire. FINRA recognized equivalents will be accepted.
