Skywood Recovery provides individual and group therapy, experiential therapy, equine and art therapy, and yoga. Qualifications

This is a part-time 2nd shift position.

The ideal candidate understands the team approach to providing the best possible food for our clients to benefit the body and mind. We accept nothing less than the best in every part of our facilities, and the kitchen is no exception.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

* Prepares and serves food according to set standards.
* Maintains safe standards throughout all food preparation and storage areas.
* Monitors and assists in daily cleanup of kitchen including mopping, dishwashing, cleaning and organizing.
* Monitors and obtains supplies needed for kitchen.
* Promotes safety and proper sanitation in kitchen.
* Controls food waste.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

* Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
* Ability to pay continual attention to detail.
* Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks and demands.
* Possess knowledge of healthy cooking styles and organic ingredients.
* Familiarity of a variety of cooking styles with emphasis on Mediterranean and west coast cuisine mandatory.
* Ability to safely handle knives and other cooking instruments.
* Proven ability to handle multiple projects under pressure.
* Ability to follow directions and work as part of a team.
* Ability to cook in quantity.
* Ability to streamline work processes and work cooperatively to provide excellent customer service.
* Ability to learn job related material primarily through oral instruction and on-the-job observation.

Education and Experience

* High School diploma or GED required. Degree or certification from a culinary school or equivalent preferred.
* Minimum 3 years of experience in high end/volume catering and or banquet experience or equivalent.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

* Sits, stands, bends, kneels, lifts and moves intermittently during work hours.
* Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or move up to 50 pounds.
* Ability to be physically mobile by walking, climb stairs, traverse the campus on uneven hilly terrain.
* Position requires some work on the computer requiring manual dexterity and visual acuity.
* A current, valid driver's license and a clean driving record is required for use of company vehicles and possible business travel.
* Due to the 24/7 operational demands, must be available after normal working hours and on holidays to manage emergencies that may arise.
