Job Description:
* The team member is responsible for handling up to 80 lbs. of frozen meat block material from an assist table to a grinder. This frequency can be approximately 1 block every 2 minutes. Team member responsible for opening/dumping 50 lb. bags of spice/soy. This frequency can be up to 100 times per day. Knowledge and ability to operate a forklift, assemble and dis-assemble grinder components, and tracking, monitoring, documenting paperwork and processes for batching large quantity recipes. Learn new EIM System and use hand held scanners, as well as, any other duties assigned.
Physical Demands of the Job:
Bending: Torso flexion of 0-45 degrees is noted while handling spice.
Lifting: Lifting up to 50 lbs. necessary when dumping bags of spice.
Pushing/Pulling: Push/pull of 80 lb. frozen meat block while manipulating from table to grinder. Push/pull of grinder head assembly weighing 40 lbs. Push/pull of meat scrapers in blending process.
Reaching: Full bilateral extension of arms necessary
Grasping: A bilateral full hand grasp is used when performing meat scraping.
Standing: The team member stands at all times in all work stations.
Work Duty: Simultaneous use of both hands is required when performing this job. Team member is also required to wear the appropriate (PPE) personal protective equipment which included steel toed shoes, bump cap and hearing protection. The temperature of the work area could range between 38 and 50 degrees and at times conditions could be wet. Team members are encouraged to dress appropriately before they arrive at their workstation.
* 6-month Forklift experience (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 6 months)
* 6 months continuous employment in the past 12 months
