ROLE SUMMARY
Administers the books and records for assigned accounts by coordinating and booking transfers, settlements, redemptions, and reconciliations. Works under close supervision of a senior team member and typically does not have sole responsibility for a set of accounts. Identifies process improvement opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
With guidance from more experienced peers, coordinates the processing of portfolio transactions, ensuring activities are accurate and compliant.
Escalates identified issues and seeks guidance on appropriate corrective actions.
May interact with securities operations staff, relationship managers, portfolio managers, custodians, and clients to collect and communicate basic information that impacts accounts.
May answer basic queries on cash/trade breaks from internal or external clients, following a set of standardized practices.
Escalates nonstandard queries to experienced peers or leaders.
Prepares standard documentation for settlements, reconciliations, transfers, etc., under the instruction of more experienced peers. Identifies process improvement opportunities.
With guidance and following established controls, checks and validates third-party reconciliations; assists with account transitions to the end-state infrastructure of outsourced providers.
Aggregates feedback for management and third-party vendors on timeliness and quality.
Qualifications:
Required:
* Bachelor's degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience AND
* 0+ years of total relevant work experience
Preferred
* Experience in investment operations preferred
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines
* Demonstrated ability to collaborate in a team environment and build strong relationships
* Demonstrated initiative to proactively initiate process improvement opportunities
* Grasps complexities and perceives relationships among issues
* Strong written and verbal communication skills
* Bachelors degree - Business, Accounting, Finance, or technology related field
* Knowledge of the securities or financial services industry preferred
