General Purpose of Position
As our Sales Engineer III, you will be responsible for partnering with our customers, our vendor partners, and the teams within DLT. As an experienced technologist, you will be able to help shape and execute a strategy to build mindshare and adoption of cloud technology within the public sector. The ability to understand customer missions and requirements and map those requirements to technology is a critical facet of this position.
Summary of Essential Job Functions
* In partnership with our sales team, formulate and execute on the technical component of the sales strategy to exceed revenue objectives through the adoption of various vendor partner technologies
* Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in assigned DLT Technology Domains, which include: Cloud Computing, CyberSecurity, Big Data & Analytics, Business Applications, IT Infrastructure and Application Lifecycle.
* Educate our public sector customers, DLT team members, and partners on the value proposition of our vendor partners technologies
* Collaborate with customers and partners to understand their mission, security and current computing environment
* Design technology solutions from customer and partners information
* Produce Architectures and Bill of Materials (BOMs)
* Map technical and business value to longer term goals or projects within the customer's business model
* Build deep relationships with customer technologists, DLT team members, and partners so they can understand, position, and adopt vendor partners technologies and services
* Establish strong relations with your vendor partners technologies technical peers
* Evangelize vendor partners technologies through articles, papers, blogs, presentations and other forms of media outreach
* Demonstrate vendor partners technologies through presentations, demonstrations, proof of concepts, and briefings
* Possess the technical experience needed to maintain a lab environment
* Maintain technical and functional relevance through continuous learning (training) and participation in partner events and industry days
* Capture and share knowledge across the wider DLT Engineering community
* Support vendor partners technologies sales team and pre-sales/engineering teammates with written responses to Proposals
* Support vendor partners solutions sales team by attending customer sales calls when necessary
* Other job related duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
* Technology-related Bachelor's Degree and 4 years relevant technical work experience OR 9+ years of relevant technical work experience

* Expertise in federal IT requirements and proven ability to interpret federal laws and regulations that govern IT programs in the federal space
* Familiarity with public sector governance and compliance standards (RMF, FISMA, C&A/A&A, DIACAP, FedRAMP, CJIS, HIPAA, FERPA, ITAR, FIPS, etc.)
* One or more of the following certifications: AWS Certified Architect/SysOps/Developer Associate Red Hat Certified System Administrator
