Responsibilities

A Day in the Life of a Performance Support Representative:

As a Performance Support Representative you will partner with business area leaders across the organization to provide resources, guidance and coaching in addressing employee performance concerns to help build and maintain a high-performing workforce. You will assist leaders with performance improvement and assessment issues, potential policy violations, and/or concerns with employee behavior and complex workplace matters. You will approach your work in a consultative manner by utilizing knowledge of HR policy and procedures and experience to evaluate concerns, assess key factors, and determine a recommended course of action to drive results.

Key Responsibilities/Duties:

* Serves as a trusted advisor, providing consultation to all levels of business area leadership on effectively addressing performance issues to assist in attracting, retaining and developing a high performing and engaged workforce
* Provides HR guidance and proactive case management on employee performance cases including disciplinary, grievance and absence management situations
* Handles, investigates, and brings resolution to issues received through the Open Door policy or reported through the Ethics and Compliance hotline
* Contributes to employee issue resolution through the appropriate use of resources and documentation to deliver a reliable and consistent approach to performance management issues
* Collaborates with key stakeholders including the HR Investigations team, Counsel and other HR professionals as appropriate
* Provides consultation to business area leaders on the termination process assisting in identifying risks and exposures, contributing to an informed decision

What You Can Expect:

* Hours of operation are Monday - Friday; 7:00 am - 7:00 pm Central Time
* On-Call Support for urgent/emergency situations that must be addressed immediately:
* Monday - Friday; 7:00 pm - 10:00 pm Central Time
* Saturday and Sunday; 7:00 am -10:00 pm Central Time
* Urgent/emergency situations are those where delaying action could result in serious consequences
* On-call duty is rotated between each Performance Support Team on a weekly basis resulting in being on call for 1-2 weeks per calendar year

Qualifications

* Minimum of 2 years HR or prior leadership experience with the key responsibilities listed above is preferred
* Strong influencing skills
* Exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
* Solid business and people acumen with excellent listening skills
* Excellent interpersonal communication and consultative skills
* Demonstrated ability to establish trust and credibility, build relationships and work effectively at all levels of the organization
* Ability to communicate effectively and remain calm under pressure and in difficult situations
* Demonstrated ability to objectively coach employees and management through complex, difficult and emotional issues
* Aptitude to work through ambiguity, with strong decision making and judgment skills
* Exhibits sound judgment and attention to detail while balancing and delivering on a wide range of challenges and tasks
* Results driven and business focused
* Adaptable and flexible with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
