The Engineering Lead Manages a team of engineers and leads large design projects. They assist the Account Executives on budgets and assign estimates to their team. The Engineering Lead coordinates project deliverables and ensures each team member has the support he or she needs. They are responsible for executing all designs on-time and on-budget while meeting ASI's standards.
Core Responsibilities
Estimate
Complete large scale budgets for complex design/build projects
Delegate estimates to a team of engineers
Train other engineers on value engineering strategies
Design
Train and onboard new hires
Lead design on specialty systems
Manage design teams on large scale engineering projects
Assist in implementing department initiatives
Develop basic sequences of operations and understand complex controls
Be able to lead effective BIM coordination meetings
Perform QA/QC on projects
Project Management Support
Coordinate project needs with project managers and field personnel
Investigate variances in project cost reporting and progress tracking
Provide alternate design solutions for projects
Qualifications
BS in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC/R concentration preferred
5-10 years HVAC Experience in design or project engineering
Experience working with AutoCAD and Revit
Experience with clean room projects and/or biopharmaceutical projects is a plus
P.E. license
