The Microsoft Dynamics AX & 365 Technical Architect and Manager will work with cutting edge technology, deliver high quality solutions across various local industries, and drive solutions with a team working on holistic web development projects that range in size and scope, as well as receive continuous career development opportunities. This role will perform hands-on customized development and unit testing of web-based software solutions for our customers primarily based on Microsoft technologies, including but not limited to Microsoft Dynamics AX & 365, with X++ custom development. This position will own and participate in consulting relationships with multiple clients and technologies.

Software Design:
- Produces, reviews software, database designs and manages to ensure it meets both business and technical requirements
- Manage the setup, back up and refresh of environments
- Manage, build and release management of software designed

Consulting:
- Manages the entire process of client needs and plays an integral part in defining and proposing practical solutions to meet or exceed client expectations
- Manages and provide technical demonstrations to customer with onsite or remote training of a technical nature

Software Architecture:
- Instrumental in defining the software and database architecture for new solutions
- Manages the overall software architecture of the project
- Perform data conversions

Business Requirements Gathering:
- Manages and leads client requirements gathering sessions and accurately documents business requirements
- Oversees and manages the development of reports and other customizations as required

Implementation and Support:
- Manages and conducts software deployments and ongoing software support
- Manage security and troubleshoot during testing

Other duties as required

Supervisory:
- Leads a team of developers within projects to ensure timelines and deliverables are met
- Oversees time reporting accuracy and the technical management of projects
- Performs code reviews and ensures adherence to standards

Qualifications

Education
- Bachelors degree, required; focus in Computer Science, preferred

Experience
- Five (5) or more years of software application development experience, required
- Three (3) or more years of Dynamics 365 (D365) or Dynamics AX for Finance and Operations (F&O/AX) development experience with X++, required
- Two or more years of experience with Lifecycle Services (LCS), required
- One (1) year or more experience managing and leading teams within Dynamics 365 or AX for Finance and Operations, required
- Some experience with Azure Dev Ops, Azure Pipelines, TFVC and VSTS, preferred
- Experience with API, JSON, Odata, SOAP, REST Integration, preferred
- Experience with consulting, IT Solutions providing or client facing roles, preferred
- Experience with data conversion or integration by using DIXF (data integration export framework) tool, preferred

Software
Experience with one of the following, required:
- X++, Net, C, MVC, SQL, SQL Server, SSRS, Azure, Power Apps

Other Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Solid understanding of object-oriented programming (OOP)
- Experience within a consultative environment
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Must be open to travel to client sites, if needed
