This position is part of our IT Services Delivery Group and he/she will sit onsite at out Troy, MI facility.
Summary:
This individual will have strong skills with Linux, Data Centers and experience with HPC.
Responsibilities:
* Creation and maintenance of documentation and instructions for end-users of HPC infrastructure.
* Incident reaction. Providing workarounds, root cause analysis and change suggestion to eliminate same issues in the future.
* Software efficiency analysis on HPC resources for both run time environment and end user application. Continuous development of optimizations for both runtime and end-user applications.
* Monitoring of HPC services, development of plugins and scripts for automated infrastructure monitoring.
* Installation of new hardware and software. Development of scripts and orchestration rules for automated installation and management of the infrastructure.
* Managing Server Hardware, Storage and UPS infrastructure
* Cooperation with hardware and software vendors.
* Cooperation in projects. Development of POC (proof of concept) installations, scripts and applications.
Must Haves (Basic Qualifications):
* 2+ years experience in HPC
* Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or IT
* Good Skills in Linux Systems Administration (focus are on RedHat distributions)
* Data Center experience
* Good Scripting and Automation skills
* Fluent in English
* Self-driven and resourceful to achieve goals independently as well as work well in groups
* Communication skills with project/work status with clients, project leaders, and managers on a continual basis
* Methodical approach to problem solving and resolution
Nice to Haves (Preferred Qualifications):
* 5+ years HPC experience
* Masters Degree in Computer Science or IT
* Strong Skills on High End Compute clusters
* Strong Skills in Windows System Administration 2008 2012 R2
* Good Virtualization Skills (VMWare and Hyper-V)
* Ability to provide consistent customer service levels as defined by client assignment specifications, SLA or Statements of Work
