Summary:

Job Family Summary

Develops new or enhanced insurance products, services and customer innovations for targeted lines of business, industry segments, or specialty lines. Utilizes market research data to identify, analyze, and evaluate markets, products, or services that are potential areas for the company to enter. Develops and executes strategic plans for entry into new markets or the development and introduction of new products and services.

Job Profile Summary

This is the third-level role in the product development job family. Incumbent applies knowledge regarding products, specific to Life, Personal Lines or Commercial products. Researches, designs and implements new or enhanced products or services. Serves as project lead or subject matter expert.

Job Level Summary

* Requires in-depth conceptual and practical knowledge in own job discipline and basic knowledge of related job disciplines.
* Solves complex problems.
* Works independently, receives minimal guidance.
* May lead projects or project steps within a broader project or may have accountability for on-going activities or objectives.
* Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience.

Primary Accountabilities

* Researches and develops concepts for complex new or enhanced products and/or services.
* Works with partners in other Operating Companies, pricing/actuarial, product management, claims, etc. to ensure product fit, success, compliance, financial viability and customer experience
* May serve as project lead for implementation of products and services.

Travel Requirements

* This position requires travel up to 10% of the time.

Specialized Knowledge and Skills Requirements

* Demonstrated experience providing customer-driven solutions, support or service
* Solid knowledge of market research and marketplace and regulatory trends

Preferred:

* Solid knowledge and understanding of Property and Casualty Insurance product design and product management
* Basic knowledge and understanding of advanced financial and data analysis techniques
* Farm Industry experience

In this role you will be supporting our Farm Customer segment, and the hiring manager is Korey Enstad.
