Job Description

As a Process Control Engineer, you will play in integral role throughout the plant responsible for crafting, leading and implementing process control projects to continually improve productivity, product quality, cost and reliability and safety. You will use automation solutions to continuously improve the processes. Can you provide technical expertise and troubleshooting skills? This role will support production activities and resolve electrical and process control problems!

Key Responsibilities

* Create, modify, program, and solve Process Control system hardware and software including PCs, PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, intelligent devices, programmable controllers, and IOT.
* Design/program GUIs for customers to control processes and debug systems.
* Specify and tackle process instrumentation including devices to measure temperature, pressure, flow, level, weight, speed, viscosity, concentration, etc.
* Assesses the feasibility and soundness of proposed engineering tests/products/equipment.
* Responsible for working assignments of various complexity and scope, often requiring the development of new or improved processes or techniques.
* Coordinates planning, organization and implementation of engineering projects within constraints of specific objectives and target dates specified by management.
* Identify and stay up to date on new trends in the controls field that could benefit the organization, identifying and coordinating training initiatives for relevant staff.
* Interprets principles, theories and concepts of process control engineering in order to tackle problems and make design recommendations.

Qualifications

* B.S. in an Electrical Engineering is required.
* 3 years directly related work experience with automated controls in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
* Strong experience in project management plus proven analytical, communication and problem solving skills.
* Proven knowledge of electrical circuits with the ability to design and problem solve
* Experience with PLC, HMI, and Networking
