Who are we looking for:
The Workday Security Engineer is responsible for overall security architecture and governance across the Workday platform. Maintaining security across data, processes, and reporting is one of the most important aspects of our HR Transformation program. This role is responsible for crafting the efficient security strategy for NIKE that is compliance, clear and yet agile for our business; ensuring the right people have access to the right area of the system. The Architect will partner with other Workday administrators on security configuration across all domains including: Core HCM, Compensation, Talent, Payroll, Time, Absence, Benefits, Integrations, and Reporting. This role will partner closely with stakeholders in HR, Finance, Global Technology, and Legal and external consulting partners. This Professional role has a high-level of autonomy and will need to drive multiple projects independently
What you will work on:
Supervise and maintain security requirements for sophisticated tenant that includes intersected security roles.
* Work with Global Technology to capture user requirements, design, pre-configure, coordinate users tests and implement modifications to Workdays modules
* Ensure data integrity through aggregate analysis and an understanding of the processes deployed
* Address Workday security role assignment requests with high accuracy to ensure data privacy compliance
* Review business procedures and workflows to ensure system features are being fully utilized and identify Workday features that may improve efficiency. Work with segments to provide solutions for outstanding business needs within a consolidated business process.
Additional responsibilities Include:
* Testing Create and execute test plans and partner with other Workday administrators to ensure thorough testing of all impacted domains.
* System Change Management Serve as a core partner in the system change management process ensuring proper security for Workday changes moving to Production.
* Upgrades / New Features Assess, plan, and launch new feature with each Workday release
* Reporting/Dashboards/Score cards Provide security reports to identify improvement opportunities and for security audits.
* System Support Troubleshoot security issues and identify and resolve root causes of issues.
Collaborate with both technology and business teams to identify priorities and security capability requirements, and incorporate these requirements into the security strategy.
* Process Improvement Proactive, continuous improvements of security processes.
* SOX control Partner with IT Security to design and write up SOX risk assessments. Perform the assessments at the accepted interval
Who will you work with:
A typical day/week involves tasks that normally are a combination of identifying key partners and data stewards, partnering with Corporate Information Security, Privacy and Data Product Management to understand the data lifecycle, establishing and/or maturing data governance & data access capabilities.
* Security Strategy This role will be responsible for the overall Security Strategy & define the governance to maintain security across the Workday platform over time.
* This role will require the Workday technical skills to build and modify custom, intersection and integration security configuration.
* Consultative, Inter-personal & Influence Skills This role will work closely with internal Workday administrators and partners and external application management services. Influence is a required skill to gain adoption of security recommendations by multiple partners.
* As this is a brand-new implementation of Workday HCM, Recruiting, Workforce Planning, Prism and US Payroll, this role will need to be able to create new strategies, guidelines, and processes for security where none currently exist. Must be able to successfully explain and communicate them to our partners and leaders!
* This role will need to have project management, vendor and leadership skills; to identify, select and lead project teams, external vendors, and contingent workers
What you bring to Nike:
* Bachelors degree (e.g. Engineering, Business, Management Information Systems)
* Minimum 3-5 years in Workday project implementation or operations role focused on implementation, governance, process improvement, and/or data analytics.
* Minimum 3-5 years experience as Workday Security Administrator and/or Architect.
* Strong process-oriented and data-oriented problem solver
* Must have a validated understanding of organizational change management and user adoption methodologies
* Confirmed ability to think strategically while delivering practical solutions
* Excellent verbal and written communication and collaboration skills to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.
* Good interpersonal skills and the ability to facilitate
Preferred Qualifications
* Workday Pro Security Certification
* Workday Pro Reporting Certification
* Management Consulting or Technology Consulting experience
* 3+ years related experience with Workday implementations AND 3+ years of experience operating as a Workday Security Administrator
* Led one or more teams responsible for design, development, implementation and change management of Workday security related projects
