Buyer/Planner Assistant - $17 to $20 per hour to support three (3) Buyers at a local manufacturing company

What is the job?
- Supports 3 Buyers by completing routine tasks with general guidance.
- Responsible for daily review of MRP requirements and purchase order placement to ensure product is available to meet production and shipping schedules.
- Provides information and support to Manufacturing, Production Control/Planning, Sales and Engineering.
- Contacts suppliers within Virginia, the US and possibly internationally
- Responsible for on-time delivery of all purchase orders placed.
- Monitors, reports, and coordinates requirement for materials MRP analysis, purchase order creation and distribution, and capable of consolidation of orders.
- Understands and uses Inventory, Manufacturing, Engineering and Financial systems.
Who are the most successful candidates?
- Purchasing, production planning, inventory control and manufacturing experience
- Firm understanding of basic production control/planning (MRP,CRP)
- ERP experience and international purchasing experience a plus
- High school diploma or GED
- Pass background check and drug screen
