Description
Asset Protection Sr Manager of External Investigations is responsible for managing and conducting complex investigations as it relates to theft, fraud and organized retail crime investigations within an assigned market to achieve maximum shrink prevention and protection of company assets.
* Serve as the subject matter expert to the field AP team on matters of external store and supply chain theft prevention, detection, apprehension, and prosecution
* Conduct and manage complex external retail theft investigations (ORC, habitual offenders through to successful conclusion
* Conduct and manage logistics / supply chain theft investigations through to successful conclusion
* Build and maintain highly effective partnerships with the field AP, sales, and operations teams to improve inventory shrinkage in assigned area of responsibility
* Build and maintain highly effective professional relationships with law enforcement at the local, state, and national levels without losing sight of business priorities and company values
* Build and maintain highly effective partnerships with delivery agents, distribution center management, and internal partners to ensure compliance with company standards and mitigate losses
* Maintain accurate records and prepare case briefs and recaps in accordance with company standards
* Maintain a high degree of personal accountability and follow all company policies, to include but not limited to policies around subject apprehensions, surveillance, reporting, case management, and prosecution
* Maintain awareness and understanding of industry trends and current professional standards regarding external retail theft and supply chain asset protection
Qualifications
Experience interviewing subjects for theft is necessary with W-Z the expected method of delivery
5-7 years of experience in loss prevention, asset protection, law enforcement or security
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Must uphold themselves to the highest standard / lead by example
Ability to build strong business relationships with all levels of an organization
50%-75% travel expected
