Job Description:
We currently have an opening for a Contracts Supervisor that will manage a small team and will safeguard the company's interests in all aspects of the contract management lifecycle at our ComCept Division in Rockwall, TX location. Your team will be responsible for negotiating contracts and agreements, and for providing knowledge, guidance and risk-mitigation in all areas related to contracts including terms, negotiations, proposals, disputes, and interpretation.
Essential Functions:
* Manage Contracts team of between 1-2 employees.
* Ensure team understands and follows all Company and division policies.
* Provide training and development to the Contracts team, providing coaching and feedback to ensure understanding of goals and objectives.
* Partner with General Manager and Program Team to support business unit financial objectives with a focus on on-time orders.
* Manage a portfolio of contracts and pursuits with a variety of contract types, both Prime USG Contracts as well as sub-tier contracts.
* Ensure positive Customer engagement and satisfaction.
* Process improvement to ensure optimal efficiencies are realized.
* Problem identification and solving.
* Accountable for contracts through the entire lifecycle of the contract, providing on-time status and contract information as required by the Leadership, the Program team and other internal customers.
* Within delegated authority limits, work with internal stakeholders to develop and negotiate contracts to obtain the best possible arrangement without compromising business objectives.
* Lead and support negotiations with Customers to achieve the best position for L3Harris with regard to scope, price, schedules, terms, payments, etc.
* Handle the drafting of teaming agreements, non-disclosure agreements and other related agreements.
* Provide guidance to Program Team and Business Development to proactively shape requirements and contract structure.
* Conduct pre- and post-contract award reviews with internal stakeholders to ensure that contractual obligations are known, understood, and properly addressed.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of four (4) years of applicable experience. An equivalent combination of education and experience may also be considered.
* Position requires an active DoD Secret Security Clearance, with the ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Clearance, which requires U.S. Citizenship.
* Experience in training and providing instruction to co-workers and/or new hires.
* Business acumen, particularly in business finance
* Demonstrated negotiation skills, with successful experience in complex U.S. Government/ Department of Defense contracts; Experience with commercial contracts ideal.
* Familiarity with FAR, DFAR and ITAR
* Proven track record of successful contract management across a variety of contracts types and customers, including resolution of disputes, equitable adjustments, and renegotiation based on issues which arise during the program.
* Proficiency bidding to and managing contracts.
* A high degree of attention to detail regarding contract terms, requirements, and proposal reviews.
* Ability to constructively challenge others and take a robust stance when required to promote or defend the company's position.
* Advanced Microsoft Office proficiency.
* Ability to travel, less than 25%
