Job Description:
L3 Harris Technologies Inc. is seeking an experienced Logistics Support Engineer to join our logistics team in supporting Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) activities on the Big Top contract and the Combat Mission Systems Support contract. Logistics support is for both the sustainment of fielded systems and the development of new system architecture.
Essential Functions:
* Provides supply support through material research, ordering, warranty tracking, packaging, handling, storing, and transporting.
* Exercise logistics support utilizing standard practices and processes.
* Provide analysis using logistics tools and metrics.
* Assist with equipment maintenance during system downtime periods.
* Record logistics management information utilizing Raytheon EAGLE integrated logistics support software system.
* Manage the creation and updating of technical orders and for the Big Top systems
* Manage the repair cycle process for on-equipment, off-equipment, and associated spares for Big Top systems. Responsibilities include:
* Performs help desk services providing Telephone support for vital equipment and problem resolution/troubleshooting to provide fault isolation and recommended corrective actions.
* Analyzes technical data, failure analysis reports, and original equipment manufacturing notices to determine/formulate recommendations regarding system sparing, repair cycle venues, failure corrective actions, and sustainable replacement items.
* Receive, track, document, status and store parts in all phases of the repair cycle.
Qualifications:
* Active TS/SCI security clearance
* Bachelor's degree in a technology field or an associate degree in a technology field with 4 years relevant experience or, graduation from a military or commercial electronics course, and at least 4 years relevant experience, or 8 years relevant experience desired.
* Must be able to obtain a DoD Common Access Card (CAC)
Preferred Additional Skills:
* Operations, Maintenance, or Logistics experience with fixed site or deployable space operations systems.
* Experience/familiarity with Solaris/CMSS program mission area (as an operator/maintainer or as a contractor).
* Experience developing and maintaining Logistics Management Information using MIL-PRF-49506 as guidance.
* Experience developing maintenance and operations procedures, conducting certification, and supporting verification processes for Technical Manuals in accordance with Technical Orders 00-5-1 and 00-5-3. Develops procedures for AFTO Form 22, TCTO, IOS/ISS processes.
* Experience developing and presenting logistics product technical documentation and training material. Outstanding communication (written and verbal) skills and be capable of developing and presenting reports and presentations to the project teams, weapon system management and customer personnel in a clear, articulate, and concise manner.
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite to include Excel, Power Point, and Word
* Working knowledge in acquisition life cycle processes and product development.
* Familiar with DoD and commercial logistics tools and databases: FedLog, WebFLIS, D043, EAGLE as well as various LMI Programs. Extensive knowledge of LMI/LSA data products.
* Understand drawing and specification hierarchy and development.
* Familiar with ASME-Y14.100 and all equivalent guidance pertaining to engineering drawings.
* Working knowledge of technical order development, content, and change activities.
* Possess excellent technical skills to understand RAM and Life Cycle Cost modeling.
* Familiar with ITAR policies and procedures.
* Working knowledge of maintenance contracts management and procedures for warranty repairs
* Familiar with electronics equipment maintenance practices and procedures.
