Supervises support or entry level employees. Communicates with parties inside and outside of own team to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures.
RESPONSIBILITES
* Manages a team with focus on policy and strategy implementation
* Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with moderate impact on the achievement of department results.
* Provides measurable input of new products, processes or standards in operational plans that will have some impact on the achievement of overall functional results.
* Delivers operational results that have some impact on the achievement of departmental results.
* Assigns tasks, peer reviews and provides training. Does not have budget or Profit & Loss (P&L;) accountability, but may manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff).
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES (KSAs)
* Requires management and leadership knowledge in job area.
* Typically has comprehensive knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline and may have broad understanding of other areas within the job function.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
* Bachelor's Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience.
* Strong knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline with understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
* Prolonged sitting at a desk and working on a computer
* Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times
* Prolonged standing
* Ability to travel up to 20%
