Job Description:
Duties include performing as part of a team that supports the requirements, design, development, test, and integration of complex, specialized hardware/software systems installed on ground and airborne ISR and communication platforms.
The System Engineer is expected to:
* Design and develop physical architectures incorporating mission systems including Self-protect, Mission Computing, Communications, Radar, EOIR, COMMS, COMINT, and ELINT subsystems
* Airborne and/or Shipborne SIGINT expertise
* Develop system level requirements
* Develop software requirements and work with software development team through the development and integration cycle
* Perform requirement traceability methods and purpose
* Perform systems engineering trade study processes
* Evaluate trade studies for accuracy and completeness
* Write subsystem specifications based on system level requirements
* Evaluate alternative solutions and establish preliminary system design
* Perform Software/System integration in System Integration Lab (SIL) and during the Ground and Flight test
* Effectively communicate with cross-functional and leadership teams and provide status
Job Qualification Requirements:
Bachelor degree with a minimum of six (6) years of applicable experience. A combination of education and experience may also be considered. An engineering discipline or related degree is preferred (Electrical, Systems, Software, Physics, etc.)
* Experience developing, authoring, and implementing software and system test plans in a team environment
* Hands-on experience with testing, integrating, and verifying software and/or hardware
* Experience working successfully both independently and in a team environment with the ability to lead small test teams through an entire build cycle
* Experience with IBM DOORS Requirements Management Tool preferred
* Experience with MBSE tools such as Magic Draw preferred
* Experience working with subcontractors and US Government customers preferred
* Knowledge of engineering life cycle preferred
* Excellent written, oral, and presentation communication skills required
* Must have the ability and willingness to travel as needed
Position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a DOD security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship. An active DOD Secret or higher clearance is preferred.
