Job Description:
Position reports directly to the General Manager of Seabed Systems. The Director of Program Capture Management Recognized as an external and internal expert and thought leader with deep and substantive technical expertise as well as advanced business knowledge and leadership capabilities. Communicates with contacts inside and outside of the organization on matters of strategic importance to influence executive leadership on new concepts, practices, and approaches. Establishes overall direction for new processes, systems, and solutions. Recommends and implements strategies and develops operational plans/goals with direct impact to the achievement against functional strategies.
Essential Functions:
* Capture Management: oversight, guidance and mentoring of a team of program professionals responsible for the strategic development and capture of programs
* Proposal Management: leads proposal development activities for competitive proposals
* Subject Matter Expert: provides guidance in proposal development activities for competitive proposals - highly skilled in schedule development, proposal quality control, writing, strategy integration, reviews, and configuration management
* Primary Proposal interface with Business Development to ensure the win strategy, customer contact plans and competitive intelligence initiatives are in place for all strategic pursuits
* Develop, maintain, and update Process documents as necessary to drive a winning culture and disciplined process application; assessing and filling gaps where needed
* Support the Business Development with ad hoc analysis: Respond to or support executive sponsored special projects and reporting requirements; succinctly and accurately present findings to senior leadership
* Oversees and manages internal and/or external operational aspects of ongoing projects within a program.
* External aspects require leadership and broad expertise across a multitude of disciplines.
* Internal aspects may include leading a subset of the project's scope, or interface between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
* Influences the adoption of practices, approaches and concepts across multiple disciplines.
* Recommends and implements strategies and develops operational plans/goals with direct impact to the achievement against functional strategies.
* Responsible for establishing the direction for new processes, systems, solutions, and products using significant conceptualization, reason, and interpretation.
* Recommends and operationalizes strategies that have a direct impact on mid- to long-term function or business area achievements.
* Ability to travel up to 40%.
* Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
* Requires both advanced business knowledge and highest level of technical mastery in functional area.
* Leadership capability to guide business or functional teams without formal management role.
* Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 15 years of prior related experience.
* Graduate Degree with a minimum of 13 years of prior related experience.
* Active Secret Security Clearance.
