Preferred Knowledge/Skills:

Demonstrates some abilities and/or a proven record of success as a team member supporting large teams through the design and implementation of changes to Operations, including people, process and technology changes and the following:

* Leveraging TMS knowledge to assist clients in the implementation and support of TMS packaged solutions, with emphasis on designing, implementing, and supporting Supply Chain processes and solutions;
* Understanding the common issues facing clients who are designing new processes and implementing TMS systems within one or more of the following sectors: consumer goods, retail, aerospace and defense, automotive, energy, industrial products, technology or utilities;
* Participating on proposal development efforts;
* Working with TMS functional configuration and development;
* Participating in client discussions and meetings; communicating a broad range of Firm capabilities, daily management of engagements including preparing concise, accurate documents and balancing project economics management with the occurrence of unanticipated issues;
* Demonstrating ability to present complex supply optimization analytics in simple supply chain cost and performance terms;
* Demonstrating experience in quantitative analytical and problem-solving skills in addition to critical thinking and the ability to manage details in context of the overall supply chain performance;
* Understanding the development and design of robust transportation operations metrics and reporting structure to maximize the impact of implemented TMS systems;
* Understanding of capabilities of and implementing Oracle OTM, Blue Yonder and/or Trimble technology to drive measurable results in industry or consulting environments;
* Processing review, redesign and implementation;
* Optimizing transportation costs through design of transportation and carrier strategies;
* Transportation sourcing, including spend analysis and baselining, sourcing event execution, carrier selection/management and rate implementation;
* Understanding of transportation execution including tendering processes, carrier management and performance reviews, service level evaluations and exception management;
* Reducing the number of preferred carriers and developing prearranged and pre-authorized modes of transportation for standard and premium vendor shipments; and,
* Understanding of current and anticipated future capabilities of trending logistics technologies such as IoT sensors, innovations in visibility, logistics control towers, proactive exception management, blockchain, etc.
