As part of our OptumRx IT team, in this Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Java) role you will play a significant part in supporting the Prior Authorizations business unit and the IT team. You will support both the legacy Prior Authorization application on Pega and help with modernizing the platform on Azure. The nature of this role is to design both frontend and backend systems. Candidates with a desire to learn a multitude of technologies and programming languages with a can-do attitude will thrive in this role. The position requires problem-solvers able to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment alongside other engineers and developers.

Primary Responsibilities:

* Overseeing development and implementation of programs
* Interact with other teams such as Enterprise Services, DevOps and the Enterprise Architecture team

Required Qualifications:

* 7+ years of experience as a Java developer
* 5+ years of direct work experience as a Senior Full Stack Engineer
* 3+ years of experience with or exposure to DevOps (Jenkins/Kubernetes)
* 3+ years of experience with Microservice Architecture
* 3+ years of experience with Spring Boot and ReactJS
* 3+ years working in an agile/scrum environment
* 2+ years of experience in cloud technologies (e.g. Azure)
* If you need to enter a work site for any reason, you will be required to screen for symptoms using the ProtectWell mobile app, Interactive Voice Response (i.e., entering your symptoms via phone system) or a similar UnitedHealth Group-approved symptom screener. Employees must comply with any state and local masking orders. In addition, when in a UnitedHealth Group building, employees are expected to wear a mask in areas where physical distancing cannot be attained

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience working with Pega
* Experience working with REST APIs & Microservices ((RESTful, SOAP, API)
* Working knowledge of GIT for version control
* Experience working with in React, JavaScript ES6,Styling,TypeScript, Redux & Redux Saga, Storybook, Next.js, Formik, Spring Boot, Node.js, Java/Maven, JUnit, Mockito, Multi-threading, SQL, NoSQL, JDBC, HTML/XHTML/XML, design patterns, data structures, Test Driven Development (ATDD/Serenity/Cucumber/Selenium)
* Experience with Azure or OpenShift or Google Cloud Platform
* Experience with development and implementation of practices that support DevOps, ATDD and CICD
* Degree in a related field
* Experience working both independently and, in a team-oriented, collaborative environment

Colorado Residents Only: The salary range for Colorado residents is $79,700 to $142,600.
