The Role

As the Director, Apprentice & New Financial Professionals, you will provide leadership and direction to ensure group results for assigned area(s). You will work closely with leadership and internal stakeholders to execute sales growth solutions and ensure new financial professionals are properly oriented, trained and coached. You will also be responsible for developing training programs, measurement tools, conducting accountability calls/business planning calls with new financial professionals.

This role will be base out of one of the following locations with up to 50% travel:

Duties & Responsibilities

Leadership

* Provides training and development opportunities, including stretch assignments, for team members and gives honest and open feedback to aid in the development of talent
* Directs and evaluates individual/team performance and takes appropriate action to meet and/or exceed performance standards
* Establishes and implements priorities, performance goals and objectives to ensure group results for assigned area(s)
* Directs and provides leadership to continually improve the capability and results for assigned area(s)
* Ensures that top talent is hired and retained
* Builds organizational capability within assigned area(s)
* Develops an accountability and measurement system for financial professionals and conducts weekly accountability calls with all apprentices in their first year of affiliation
* Conducts conversations with apprentices when they are not meeting their production requirements and are at risk of losing affiliation
* Partners with internal stakeholder to develop a training and education strategy for apprentices at all levels of their practice
* Provides subject matter expertise to evaluate current training resources available and provides financial professionals with most applicable and up to date material needed to grow their practices
* Directs and provides subject matter expertise to internal stakeholders to implement training and enforce the measurement system required to track and monitor goals and results of financial professionals
* Partners with internal stakeholders to integrate apprentice into senior financial professionals practice
* Provides feedback, guidance and assists with the development of apprentices business plan for their practice
* Provides coaching to apprentice financial professionals around sales and tactical skills to build successful practices, this includes but is not limited to sharing best practices and case studies
* Partners with internal stakeholders to identify opportunities in the channel for new financial professionals
* Directs and develops a program that provides structure for joint work between the experienced financial professional and apprentice

Education

* 4 Year/Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience (4 years of experience in lieu of Bachelor's) - Minimum Required

Experience

* 7+ Years experience in financial services that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities of this role, including 3+ years of managerial, supervisory, and/or demonstrated leadership experience
