Job Description

Raytheon Professional Services is looking for a Senior Business Analyst in the Troy, MI area. This role must have a high degree of technical expertise, collaboration, and an excellent client service orientation. Project management skills and basic understanding of adult learning principles are essential to this role.

The Senior Business Analyst will be responsible for the functional and technical analysis, implementation, customization and support of learning management systems and other applications related to development and delivery of training. This role will have accountability for ensuring effective requirements identification, planning, integration, design, and testing.

This will require constant collaboration with the customer, learning teams, technology teams and vendor partners.

The position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

* capture, document and review system and process business requirements with clients, program management and software developers
* Interface between systems analysts and administrative users located in the customers organization
* track and present program status updates to clients and program management
* identifying options for potential solutions and assessing them for both technical and business suitability
* work closely with software development team to ensure that client system enhancements are implemented on schedule and meet the clients specifications
* testing system enhancements in the preproduction environment and work closely with the software development team to resolve any issues found during the testing phase
* participating in business and governance sessions
* overseeing the development of ad hoc reports
* managing and performing system administration
* managing and developing user manuals / system support documentation
* managing and providing training to system user roles
* performing other tasks, as needed, in support of the maintenance of existing systems

Required Skills:

* Six years experience as a Business Analyst, including four years experience with Learning Management Systems
* Must poses a general understanding of Structured Query Language (SQL) and be proficient in writing queries in order to generate ad-hoc reports for both clients and program management
* Experienced professional in Microsoft Office Excel (using macros, pivot tables and vLookup) Access (creating tables, queries and joins), Word, Publisher, PowerPoint
* Working knowledge of systems engineering, web development, and database structures
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Capable of handling multiple tasks in both individual and team environments
* Strong project management skills
* Excellent customer service skills

Desired Skills:

* Working experience in HTML/CSS

Education Required:

* Bachelors degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field
* Eight years Business Analyst experience with a high school diploma may be considered in lieu of a degree
